William E. Kellner has been practicing in Lafayette since 1975. He attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science. He went on to Louisiana State University Law Center and earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1975.
Bill has been with the Onebane Law Firm since 1996. He joined after having a solo practice for many years. His practice at Onebane concentrates on Oil and Gas, Business and Commercial and Elder and Special Needs Law. In his Oil and Gas practice, Bill reviews abstracts and preparation of drill site and division order of title opinions, together with the review of various contracts relating to the energy section. For his Business and Commercial Law clients, Bill has a transactional practice including the formation of businesses, acquisitions of businesses collection work, general contract review and real estate transactions, resident and commercial. He is a licensed Louisiana title insurance agent (FATIC). He advises Elder and Special Needs clients on a range of areas including housing options advice, wills and trusts, marital considerations and partnership planning, interdiction and tutorship matters, legal capacity, and powers of attorney.
Bill was born and raised in Lafayette and is happy to work in the city he has called home his entire life. Outside of work, he has enjoyed coaching basketball, softball, baseball and soccer for his three children, and now he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
